Some have helped build technology. Others have contributed design, communications, legal guidance, research, or ideas that helped us see a problem differently. Some have worked with us for years; others joined us for a particular project or moment in our growth.
Each has helped shape what DARTCC is becoming.

Freehold Software
Technology Architecture & Development
Freehold Software brings years of technology experience and collaboration to DARTCC. Founder and Executive Director Deb Shelby has worked with the Freehold team since 2013 on a variety of technology projects, creating a trusted working relationship that predates DARTCC.
Today, Freehold provides much more than development support for EASApp®. Their team helps ensure that the technology behind our tools is built on a solid foundation—with thoughtful architecture, strong security practices, reliable development standards, and an eye toward long-term growth.
As DARTCC continues to build tools for disaster animal response and community preparedness, that technical foundation matters. Freehold’s experience helps us make decisions today that will support where the technology needs to go tomorrow.
Sarah Edwards
Systems, Communications & Design
Sarah is a tech and design specialist and the founder of Beyond the Mountains, based in Kent, England. Her career spans more than 30 years, from global web manager at PwC to leading a full rebrand and digital build for a large NHS Trust. Today she works with small businesses and nonprofits across the UK, US, and Canada on the systems, websites, and design that hold everything together.
At DARTCC™, Sarah supports communications and operations behind the scenes. She produces The Dispatch newsletter, supports the website and brand, and builds the CRM, dashboards, and automations that help a small team manage partnerships, grants, and supporter relationships. She brings a calm, practical approach to every project and takes real care in understanding how an organization works, so the tools she builds genuinely support the people using them.
When she’s not working, Sarah enjoys digital illustration and creative projects, and spends time with her family and their two dogs.
Benoit Devilliers
Technology & Design
Benoît is a Designer who fell in love with No-Code. He loves being able to bridge the gap between design and development and uses his skills to help entrepreneurs launch and improve their products with positive impact at Nolow, a design and no-code agency he created.
Brette DeVore
Communications & Branding
Brette is a versatile copywriter who collaborates with brands and nonprofits dedicated to meaningful causes. Her expertise extends across diverse niches, including the outdoor hospitality industry, where she supports businesses striving to foster a deeper appreciation for nature. She also contributes her talents to companies promoting eco-friendly and sustainability-focused products and services. With a passion for dynamic storytelling, Brette adeptly combines the power of words and creativity, resonating with audiences and leaving a lasting impact on the broader mission. In her leisure time, she enjoys exploring and immersing herself in new places while cherishing moments with her husband, Dave, and two beloved cats, Dublin and Coleman.
