Building a better foundation for preparedness.
Being ready for a disaster takes more than a plan. It takes knowledge, practical resources, and information people can turn to before an emergency happens.
The Readiness Library is being built to become a central place for that information—bringing together practical guidance, checklists, training resources, templates, lessons learned, and other tools that can help animal response teams and their communities prepare.
This Library is just getting started, and we want to build it with you. DART Teams have years of experience, resources, and hard-earned knowledge that can help others prepare. We want to make it easier to share that knowledge and make it available to the broader response community.
What we’re building
Over time, the Readiness Library will grow to include resources for:
- DART Teams - Best Practices - planning, training, operations, and response readiness
- Animal guardians — preparing people and animals before disaster strikes
- Communities — building relationships, identifying resources, and preparing for local needs
- Responders — practical tools, lessons learned, and resources for use in the field
We’ll continue adding resources as we learn what teams and communities need most.
